Proposal submitted

After a mad week or two, the proposal has been submitted to the Town Council for consideration – and the initial reaction was distinctly positive.

The council have made it clear that the entire area needs to be considered as a whole so we’re unlikely to get the go ahead to progress the final solution  for 18 months – 2 years, but as there is no direct competition for the land we want for the primary park area, and we have the ability to rescope & redevelop the area (to fit in with the final solution), I’m cautiously confident that the council will at least consider working with us to implement an interim solution (as outlined in phase 1 & 2 of our plan).

But now it’s time to wait. The next council meeting takes place on 22nd May 2012 and I hope to have more feedback for you by the end of the month.
